The first thing we noticed about Yangshuo was that it was a tourist town. It seems like they are the same around the world. When we got off the boat, we saw this elderly man offering to have your picture taken with him and his birds--the first sign it catered to tourists. There were more vendors than average, and lots of little street-side shops.
It was hard to miss this grandma babysitting her child right in the middle of the street. Neither of them noticed any of the activity going on around them.
