Day 8 Approaching Chongqing at night

As we approached the Chongqing area at night, it looked like Las Vegas! These pictures were taken about 9:55pm.--fortunately. At 10:00pm. all the lights went out.

We were quite surprised by the warmth and humidity of the area. During the day it had gotten to about 85 degrees. We were told that this area is one of the "furnaces" of China. During the summer it can get to 112 degrees, with 85-90% humidity. We were certainly glad it was the end of March, not the end of July.
