The Temple of Heaven was beautiful and very peaceful. This was the Temple the Emperor visited once a year to show he was next to God. He would climb up to a blue pillar, shown in the third picture, which represented God and he would touch it--this showing he was related to God. Since it was a Tuesday morning, it wasn't very busy, which added to the peaceful feeling. After visiting the Temple, we took a golf cart (another favorite mode of transportation) to a restaurant on the park grounds. Lunch was our last stop in Beijing before the airport. We accomplished a lot during our three days here, but feel as if there is a lot more to see.
