The next event of the day was a 5 hour bus ride through the countryside to Yi Chang, and then to our ship. Helen was very informative and the road was extremely bumpy as we got closer to construction around the Three Gorges Dam site.We boarded our ship, had dinner and a mandatory meeting about the life preservers. The emphasis was they were all new because there had never been a need for them before. Our room on the ship was small, but recently refurbished and quite nice. This was to be our home for the next four days.
